EP18: BOOKCLUB: "A Stolen Life" & "Freedom" by Jaycee Lee Dugard

This is our first book club episode! In this episode, we tell the story of Jaycee Lee Dugard, who was abducted at 11 years old and held in captivity for 18 years! Her memoir, "A Stolen Life" tells the detailed, painful, heartbreaking story of her life in captivity, her discovery after 18 years, and the beginning of her new life as a free woman. We share insights from this book and her second book titled "Freedom", do a Traffick Jam analysis on her survival mechanisms as well as discuss her captors' characteristics. If you listen closely, you will hear a special guest, Ruger, Georgia's German Shepherd, barking in the background of some of our discussion (we are a two-person team, with very limited audio editing capabilities!). Don't forget to follow us and MISGO on Instagram, LinkedIn, and shop our Etsy page, where the proceeds go directly to MISGO's mission!
